Telle est la volonté de Jean-Joseph, depuis qu'il a commencé sa carrière d'artiste.
Né le 29 Novembre 1978 en Vendée. c'est à l'âge de 18 ans que Jean-Joseph Chevalier entame sa vie d'artiste.
D'abord apprenti chez un maître, il commence par se perfectionner dans le dessin, trouvant son inspiration dans l'étude des grands maîtres de la Renaissance et dans la contemplation de la nature.
Il se lance peu à peu dans la sculpture. Inspiré par le peintre Raphaël, il saisit comment la pierre va l'aider à traduire ses dessins en trois dimensions.
La recherche assidue du précieux savoir traditionnel pictural lui a permis d'avancer dans la conception de peintures à la fois classique et moderne.
Installé dans le Var, il y expose régulièrement depuis quelques années.
